TUESDAY, AUGUST 26.2008 LEXINGTON HERALD -LEADER KENTUCKY.COM Local BOWMAN Ruby Wilson, 96, of Richmond Place, formerly of Owsley County, KY, passed away Aug 25, 2008 at the home of her daughter in Lexington. Born Feb 11, 1912, the daughter of the late Blaine and Sarah Martha Brewer Wilson. Ruby attended Berea Normal School, finishing in 1931. There she met and was married to James F. Bowman on Nov 26, 1931.

They lived in Corbin, Hopkinsville, Florence and Hazard before retiring back to Owsley County in 1968.. A few years after the death of her I husband in 1971, she moved to Richmond Place in Lexington, where she enjoyed the Bible Study Class taught each Tues morning by Jim Eastburn. She was a homemaker and mother, enjoyed studying her Bible, reading, quilting, and caring for her flowers. She had a loving and generous spirit and helped anyone who was in need. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, James F.

Bowman; her daughter, Ann Bowman Manooch; brothers, Robert Vernon and Horace V. Wilson; and sisters, Bonnie Wilson and Carrie Wilson Bowman. She is survived by her son, James F. Bowman of Robards, KY, Theda B. (Bob) Partin of Lexington, KY and Rose B.

(Mickey) Terrell of Owensboro, KY. Also surviving are her two sisters, Eulene Moore of Lexington, KY and Imogene Turner of Winchester, KY; eleven grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. Ruby was a member of Booneville Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be held at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. on Wed, Aug 27, 2008 at with visitation beginning at Services will be conducted by Dr.

Dwight Moody and Jim Eastburn. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park on Versailles Road in Lexington. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. BUBAN Edward Joseph, 70, husband of Jacqueline "Jackie" Buban, died Sun, Aug 24, 2008.

Born in Detroit, MI, he was a son of the late Emil and Lena Morgan Buban. He was engineering graduate of the University of dedicated Kentucky, and 27 years as a mechanical engineer with IBM, before his retirement in 1991. In addition to his wife of 49 years, he is survived by his daughter, Denise Carol Buban, Pompano Beach, FL; grandchildren, Kristen and Katelyn Buban, both of Delaware; and a brother, Donald (Imogene) Buban, Lexington; as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Edward Joseph Buban, Jr. Services will be Thu, Aug 28 at Milward-Southland, conducted by Steve Wright.

Burial will follow at the Lexington Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Harrell "Tex" Shaver, Jim Hoskins, Joe Vaughan, Tandy Haggard, David Shakeb and Helmut Schumacher. Honorary casket bearers will be Jack Fisher, Max Parrish, Virgil Boler, Tom Richards and Jerry O'Daniel. Visitation will be 5-8pm Wed, Aug 27. Memorials may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or Hospice of the Bluegrass.

Born Feb 23, 1912 in Pilot Grove, MO, son of the late John and Clara Ratzlaff Heinrich. He is survived by his wife; sons, Steven, Frankfort, KY, and Johnny Heinrich, Nashville, TN; granddaughter, Ilona, Berlin, Germany; and step-sons, Dr.

John R. Drew (Jodi) and granddaughters, Haley and Madison, Tallahassee, FL and Barton Drew (Tammy); and grandchildren, Olivia and Lucas, Houston, TX; a sister, Charlotte Savee, Seal Beach, CA. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Marjorie Sharpe Heinrich; an infant son, Michael Leo; brothers, John and Leo and sisters Jeanette Bosch, Dorothy Geiger and Margaret Kessel. He was a member of Rosemont Baptist Church and for several years had been a faithful member of the Faith Lutheran Church choir. After graduating from high school he attended Central Methodist College in Fayette, MO.

He served his 4-year enlistment in the US Navy. At age 15, he had his first job as station agents helper and yard clerk for the M- K-T Railroad in Pilot Grove and grew up to be a steam engine enthusiast collecting numerous pieces of railroad memorabilia. He was a member of the Bluegrass Railroad Club and the Katy Railroad Historical Inc. He was retired from IBM after working 36 yrs. in Baltimore, MD, Rochester, NY, Philadelphia, PA, Kansas City and St.

Louis, MO, Poughkeepoie and Kingston, NY and Lexington, KY. He was a fifty eighth yr. member of the Masonic Lodge having been initiated in Pleasant Valley NY in 1950, and at the time of his death had attained the 32 degree of Masonry. Colonel and a Life member of the UK Alumni Assoc. Karl was very remarkable. He was warm, loving, thoughtful and by every measure the consummate gentleman. A better husband, father, stepfather, grandfather and friend could not be found. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.

LaFALCE Pamela Clare Win- ner, 54, of Lexington, KY, passed away Aug 22, 2008 at home following a long illness. She was born Aug 12, 1954 in Coldwater, OH to the late Clarence "Pete" and Clare Borchers Winner.

Surviving are her husband, Peter Ronald LaFalce, daughter, Margaret Frances LaFalce and son, Samuel Peter LaFalce. She is also survived by her siblings Ronald (Charyl) Winner, Roger "Pete" (Sarah) Winner, Jane (Jim) Hatfield, Richard "Beetle" (Susan) Winner, Judith Winner, Patricia (Mike) Gavit and Gregory (Teresa) Winner and sister-in-law Mary Ann Winner. Pam grew up in Minster, OH and graduated second in her class from Minster High School in 1972. Her early passion for environmental leadership surfaced in the 4th grade when she started a Minster Chapter of the Lady Bird Johnson Committee to Beautify America. Throughout her life Pam maintained close ties to her home town, returning often for family and community events.

She was the only person to complete every Minster Oktoberfest Classic 10K run since it was begun in 1979. Pam continued her education in Cincinnati, OH. She obtained a Bachelor of Science magna cum laude in Chemistry from The College of Mount Saint Joseph on the Ohio in 1976, a Master of Science in Environmental Health from the University of Cincinnati in 1979 and a Master of Business Administration from Xavier University in 1989. In 1979 Pam moved to Lexington, KY to join IBM. She worked for for more than 25 years as a valued member of the company's management team.

She will be remembered as a dedicated and inspi-24, rational leader for Lexmark's environmental, health and safety organization and a talented and effective director in product development and facilities. She was instrumental in many of Lexmark's corporate outreach efforts, including Reforest the Bluegrass and United Way. Pam was an active youth member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster. Her most cherished activity was singing in the choir.

Upon arrival in Lexington, Pam joined St. Paul Catholic Church because she of enjoyed the the diversity parish community and the church building reminded her of home. While a member of St. Paul Parish she was involved, often in a leadership role, with many ministries and committees. Visitation will be 2-8pm Tue, Aug 26 and the Funeral Mass will be 10am Wed, Aug 27, both at St.

Paul Catholic Church in Lexington. A second visitation will be 2-4pm Fri, Aug 29 at Hogenkamp Funeral Home followed by burial at St. Augustine Cemetery, both in Minster.
