Manhwa Review:
I’ll be honest with you; I’m not very into “Enemies to Lovers” tropes. However, I came across some art and saw numerous pictures of the main leads being happy on social media. Intrigued, I decided to give it a try. I picked up the first two chapters but dropped it initially as I felt overwhelmed. However, after seeing another set of pictures on social media, I decided to give it another shot, and I have no regrets. The story hooked me—it was so interesting that it took me until 4:00 a.m. to finish it. Considering I usually finish stories I like to the end, this says a lot about my engagement.
For someone who doesn’t usually enjoy these types of tropes, it was surprisingly captivating. The story had numerous twists and turns that I did not expect, contrary to my initial assumption that it would be easy to figure out. Many others shared the same sentiment, mentioning how everything was a surprise. If you enjoy mystery stories, this is a good pick, as it makes you think and keeps you hooked. I found myself going crazy and wanting to read more due to the unexpected plot developments.
The story had several unexpected moments, with back-and-forth scenes that weren’t initially shown but were later brought up, making everything fall into place. I appreciate stories that drop hints, leaving you curious, and then reveal the full missing story piece, surprising me. This aspect really got me hooked on the story.
There are many wholesome moments that can evoke various emotions, making you feel soft inside or even angry. In my opinion, the ending was sweet but also bittersweet. Not everyone might appreciate the ending, as it doesn’t have a strong conclusion that many people prefer. Some might find it unsatisfying due to a specific situation in the story that not everyone likes. I won’t spoil it, but be aware that the ending might leave you a bit unsatisfied.
