Important Exam Updates and Alerts

Important Announcement Regarding COVID-19 Vaccination:As of March 13, 2023, the MTA has suspended the COVID-19 vaccine requirement for all new hires, except those hired into direct health services-related roles.

Return to Hiring List for COVID vaccine related issues only: If you were canvassed for employment off an exam-based hiring source for New York City Transit, Manhattan and Bronx Surface Transit Operating Authority (MaBSTOA), MTA Bridges and Tunnels or the MTA Bus Company and did not participate in or complete the employment process because you were unable or unwilling to submit proof that you received a COVID-19 vaccination, you can click hereto access and complete a form to request to have your name returned to the hiring list for that agency. Paper Exam applications will not be distributed in person. You must apply online during the Exam application filing period.

As of September 15, 2023, application fees paid with a debit, credit, or gift card will be subject to a 2.95% service fee.The application fee is charged to defray the cost of processing applications, and is due when you submit your application. The fee isnon-refundable. It will not be returned if you decide you didn't want to apply for that test, your application is disapproved, you do not take the test(s) or you are not successful on the examination.

Please note: When the first day of the application period for an exam occurs on a Saturday or Sunday, the application period may open on the preceding Friday.

Email us at examsunit@nyct.com with the subject line "CONTACT INFO UPDATE". If you are a Transit Employee, you should also submit the request to the BSC via the Employee Portal at www.mymta.info.

If you are on an established Civil Service list, you must also keep your contact information current with NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) via email at oasys@dcas.nyc.gov.
